Hi BNZ, have a look here, between the lines I have badly drawn. You can see it best on the right side.

    Cheers, Ade.

      Hi,

As Johnpic said... interesting tunic. I think however Ade's comments are very important too...
Uhu, are these the only pictures you got from the seller?? In that case it might be difficult to say "go " or "no go"... Could you ask the seller pics of the underside of the collar and a very clear view of the chest area (were there could have been a Heer eagle)...

      regards,
      Gerd V

Oh, thank you guys for the interesting discussion about this unique tunic, it is very important for me. The seller is our good friend and business dealer. He gaves a lifetime guarantie on this tunic, and I have a good experience with him, I takes from him M44 camo tunic, it was fully original and rare in such condition thing. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ght=camo+tunic

About this TK tunic it cost near 7 thousand Euro. There 100% was no Heer eagle on chest, and insignia looks like originally sewed on this tunic.

Ok, I try to request additional photos. But, seller can't use internet, computers and digital camera in his life and live in very far Deutschland town, and I must ask my business companion to make the photos for me. I think it is a reason that so rare tunic still else not sold...

I not see any holes from old Heer collar tabs. More high resolution photo.

I personally would not be quick to discount this tunic - it is rare to see a put together tunic in which the added insignia is 100% good (and I personally like what I see - especially the cufftitle, rank tab and what appears to be a flatwire sleeve eagle - though I am far from an expert on the TK tab). If there is no sign of previous insignia, then the odds of this being good IMHO increase significantly. In any case, the value of the insignia alone appears to be at least equal to the price being asked - not a bad sign in and of itself.

The only way to really tell if litzen were on this particular tunic would be to handle it and look at both the surface and under the collar.Shadows and drawing lines are no way to conclude anything. Same with a Breast eagle, a faded tunic might not show anything.Take it into a pitch black room and use an ultra violet light if a breast eagle was there you will see the shadow of it.Even if very faint.I have alot of experience doing this and can tell you right now that unless the mistakes are blatant no one looking at a picture can tell you if its good or bad. However it is a correct and fine looking piece in the photos.

Gary or David please jump in and give an input about the TK tab. I wouldn´t be happy with the above shown skull in style & qualitiy.

                            Hi,

As others have said it is highly unusual for a faker to add original insignia? the eagle is a little poor in the sewing but it doe's happen.
Even if their is evidence of a army eagle on the breast ?it could be one of those rare ones seen in photo's with army breast eagles attached and latter removed.
Just my small contribution it could be a worthy rival to my tunic
                            All the best Merdock

But proper brushing and flossing will help prevent this

Agrees with you, but as I understand it is a hand embroided scull, can it have difference from another one? I'm not a specialist, but really it is strange that there no uppper teath
