    Edelweiss CT ?

I am wondering if anyone can confirm this uniform collar tab ? This is from an album which contains SS & SD dated no later than 31 March 1942 so I believe this picture may have been added later & could be related to Maria Therese ?

There is no sleeve eagle, the collar tabs to me appear metallic, if anyone can shed light on this I would be interested to hear. There is also an Edelweiss on the cap and some kind of feather/flower adornment.

    Thanks for checking

This Edelweiss + collar tab Looks to me like the one used by the Austrian Army (Kaiserjaeger) during the 1.World War.

I think that is it, they also seem to have the feather addition to the cap too.

      Thanks a lot for that.

I was thinking this picture was a later addition as it doesn't fit the rest of the album (snow) but I think this was an earlier picture added after the event. Cheers !

They are not Kaiserjaeger but Kuk Kaiserschuetzen/Gebirgsschuetzen.

Thanks everyone for the information. Is it possible to limit this picture to a more narrow timeframe or is 'late 1930s' as close as its possible to get ?

              Thanks for checking.

this is a lieutenant in the Kaiserschuetzen, World War 1, not a Alpenjaeger,
                        regards sergio
