    Sturmbannführer tunic.

    Hello guys.

Just want to post a few pictures of my only SS tunic.
All insignia are reapplied and the eagle are for a em/nco? Don't know why, but this it the way I got it. I see no traces of a breast eagle.

    Opinions are welcome.
If you need more pictures, let me know..

The daylight are gone, so pictures are not the best..

Im not keen on that Rune tab. I also would have chosen heer shoulderboards for infantry or artillery (my opinion of course) rather than pioneer black. I also would have used buttons for the shoulder boards.

I am with the others on the rune tab. I see holes in the pocket, perhaps an EK1, IAB and WB could be added?

I don't have a problem with the rune tab, a bit off angle, but I think ok. I agree I would have used Infantry or even standard SS issue boards.

This was mine notice the white infantry heer boards used.

Sonny, can you post some close up shot of the shoulder boards? It's not easy to see the construction of the boards and how they're sewed on.

                SS Tunic

I agree with Felix about the runic tab. The cardboard runes underneath the bullion are perfect in uniformity, so why is one rune much wider than the other, and also, the length or the rune "arms" is not consistent from one rune to the other like you'd expect. And either the tabs are gigantic, or the collar is tiny, because the whole rig looks out of proportion. Neither tab looks like it's the correct shape and size. The rank tab is mint, but the piping looks in disarray?
Not trying to pick it apart, but just what I see.

I saw the rune angled and I was sure about good, now I see the tab in a frontal PIC and i 'm not comfortable with it. For sure is not easy to determine (I remember some very similar, period, from Austria) but in this case I would prefer for sure pass.
Tunic is nice but don't pay more a value of a heer tunic + insignias.

Thanks for additional photos, those are SS pioneer boards with black piping between the white top and base board, look ok to me.

Just to point. I shared opinions with a top collector and we agreed on goodness of tab. It was my first impression when I saw privately pictures and today I changed opinion but IMO today i was wrong.
I think to have seen thesebrunes on old beaver book and have also pics of a pair of untouched tunics. I will ch ck. Sorry.

Its a fam purchase and its heer.

I have seen 2-3 of these officer tunics from this maker, same looks on all of them...and all heer.

A simple Google search brings up 2 ss tunics from this maker and a general coat.. I cant comment on these though..

I had this tunic in hand a few days ago and it is definetly worn and there is absolutly no signs of a breasteagle ever have been applaid..
