Nice picture, yes the difference between these two patterns is that shapes in the "Oak-B" pattern have outlined borders.

      "a"

What I did want to show is the same print but different use of ink. As you can see the outlines of the smock are more water than ink.., on the cover used more ink in the outer print

Hi, The main difference is which color is laid down on the white fabric first. These 2 examples show how the colors and edges change depending on which color was screened in which order. The first color usually takes over.
My friend makes all of the top quality SS camo on the reenactment/ movie market and he can duplicate this phenomenon quite easily. All of the SS patterns very depending on the printing order and quality, especially the machine printed ones like Oak and blurred edge.

Today I took a second look at your picture and compared this camo fragment with original samples that I have on file. Interesting observation. I knew that depending on the ink and material used, the density and hue of colors (even) in the same camo pattern can vary, that is subtle differences exist between same camo pattern (pehaps from maker to maker), but I've always thought that there are no differences between the design/picture/geometry of the camo pattern itself, I thought that the number, size, location (etc.), main color, of camo shapes in camo items of the same pattern are always consistent. As I said I compared many camo samples today: Oak-A against Oak-A, Oak-B against Oak-B, etc They are the same only in overall appearance, but they do vary a lot in deatails, almost all of them and sometimes diffrences are huge! Below is just this one fragment you used for your comparison. Next to your two samples are five more. As you can see on the far right is this fragment is very different but it is 100% original, perhaps just a different maker. This is just one example, but there are much more, a lot more differences between other fragments that I saw today.

By the way, can you post a straight-on shot of the metal clip on this cover?

It looks like your guy needs to use the bathroom

                              Or

Must be the fake helmet cover that makes him look that way !!!!
