            Hi Mike,
I've been researching like crazy to authenticate this skull, and I'm 99.99999% it's good.
What we failed to see (in our haste earlier) was the small RZM mark on the reverse (just by the left pin) is it really there?

I'm assuming the D&SM is for Deschler&Sohn, and I'm hoping this is a real rare early type...
Let's keep our finger's crossed that some other members agree!

Looking forward to meeting up again tomorrow (with the skull, not you!)
            best regards
            jon

              .. Well..

Quality is there ..but the worn off finish is a bit strange... Its not cast for sure!

Absolutely a good skull and yes an early 1934 pattern.

This was the first style Deschler, after that they marked them with the M1/52 codes.

That's a very nice original early Deschler.

They later marked the skulls 'RZM 52'...........then 'RZM M1/52' from c.1936.
