Ciao Viva, in Beaver's book "camouflage uniforms of the waffen ss" there is a picture of a jacket modified like this, shortened to waist level and used inside the (camouflaged) pants, with belt exposed.

          Any stamps?

          kind regards,

          Salvatore

                  I love it
Sometimes SS soldiers wear their dot 44 tunic tucked in their trousers as a shirt !
It's also possible to find jackets where the bottom pockets were voluntarily removed (IMHO) for this use !
Maybe this jacket modified like a M45 can also be used for that ?

The picture shows a 4 pocket tucked into trousers,if you look closely one can observe the top of the left hand pocket flap.
                      That being said ....
I like the cut down jackets style.

Not really easy to see the top of the left hand pocket flap (the photo is not so clear)
IMHO I think also that it's a 4 Pocket jacket tucked into trousers
But as previously said I've had in hand some différents jackets where the bottom pockets were voluntarily removed ! (for what use: I don't know ?)

here an other jacket tucked into trousers
                        (with dot panzer trousers )

Very nice find. I can see the need for armored crews , mechanized artillery crews wearing such modified dot tunics
in lieu of wrappers in case there were shortages and they ended up with longer tunics so they were shortened for comfort
in confined vehicle compartments. Sort of like a makeshift wrapper uniform with as you indicated the top button slit sewn shut
and collar pressed open like that...Great item!
In a Normandy battle reference book there is an example of a Heer Pz officer wearing a LW camo para jump smock with added
Skull collar tabs, also cut down for wear in a tank.
