Cuff band off uniform question

I have a Das Reich RZM cuff band that was battlefield removed according to the vet's son. The ends which are shortened are sewn together with the circumference being about 13.5 inches. Is the circumference adequate for it to have fit on to a tunic sleeve or is that too small which would indicate that that the vet may have sewn the ends together?

13.5 inches is perfectly feasible for a band to be tunic removed.

Would be nice to see the one you have.

Me too. We should remember that many of the tunics these bands came from would be considered small by today's standards. Some of this being a result of the starvation policy that was applied to Germany after WWI .
