    rune tab for review

    hello fellas,

I picked up a tab set a while back and still am not sure about them. the pictures I am posting are cropped for a reason. it seems they may have been "dressed up" I would like some analysis on the rune shape, construction, material and the weave and whether or not these aspects are period authentic.
I am also including a photo of the back. the red stuff is where they were glued to a felt display but what raises a question to me is the lack of buckram or4 other backing however upon lifting up a flap, the remnants of some sort of backing material is visible.

could i please get a few opinions on these questions to the content of the provided images. also I did not have my good camera handy so these are cell phone pics. if needed I can pull out the good cam and take some macro mode close ups if needed..

also I HAVE studied numerous past threads and still cannot come to a conclusion.
So I graciously ask for some expert advice here

    Thanks a million.
