Ha ha one time at a show a guy walked up to me and picked up a Hj belt buckle from one of the tables.... He looked at it and then told me: this is not an original ss buckle.... I smiled and had to agree

Than you for your help guys! I agree and I should study more. I'm a full tile student and don't have to much time to research a lot. I know I seem very ignorant but I really do cherish all of your help! All of you have helped me in many ways. I think I should stop looking at the BS and work on putting together a LAH mannequin with my tunic.

How does someone with over 2,000 post need to see better pictures of this to determine it's complete crap? Even with this horrible picture; O.P you really need to post several clear pictures of all angles and insignia in the future if you want an accurate assessment, one can still see the parts aren't period, yet alone the fact that it's a completely bogus set-up.
Sure, the youth can be annoying with there basic questions and idiotic statements, but at least they're new to the hobby and know no better. I'm sure many of you were the same way whenever you first started collecting.
As for the new collectors refusal to purchase reference books, I can to some degree understand it and don't think it's the whole Google phenomenon, yet just the new found passion for the hobby and the want to spend every penny earned on actual artifacts and not some paper. With time one comes to the realization that such is more costly in the long run, but at first that can be hard to comprehend, especially for the youth, of any generation.
What I find truly frustration is the collectors who've collected for years and yet still can't distinguish between a turd and original item due to their refusal to study period documentation and written references. Then they give, not you Stossgruppe, ill advice to the novice and cause some poor sap to lose their hard-earned money because their ego is bigger than the knowledge they possess. I see this just as often and for me one can do nothing worse on these fora than pretend they know what the hell they're talking about when really they have no clue. Usually you will find these members posting on ever sub-forum with inaccurate information, yet never show their collection because they don't have one, therefore they've never studied these artifacts in hand with is quite vital.
***This post, besides the first sentence, is in no way directed at Stossgruppe, and I hope it's not interpreted as such. Due to quoting his post I though that should be known.***

With the swarm of books out there in the last 10-15 years, some of which are redundant (and the vast majority in the $50-75++ range), it's long been my contention that the average collector must make the decision to either buy militaria or books about militaria.

However, the CCC polisher should be exterminated.
