SS Liederbuch

Hi guys! I'd like to show you a part of my collection and to hear your comments. I know the book itself is not a very rare, but it would be nice to hear some words about the unit on a stamp... Also, seems that the white color on the lettering is newer than a book?

Would need better photos to make a determination, but it does look as if the runes have been touched up with white paint IMO.

Nice songbook. Yes the runes have definitely been touched up.

It is interesting that the only edition I ever seem to see is the 9th edition. I also have one of the earlier editions that are harder to find.

Nota : 1. Auflage is different from 2. and 3. Auflage (which content is identical).

As I can read it - the stamp is of SS Reiter Regiment 1, 6. Schwadron
If I'm not wrong, there are some info regarding this unit:

I just checked mine but I cannot tell which Ed I have...it is a Rusha publication but no edition listed. What should I check? The page before the Himmler dedication to determine edition?

Hi,

Capt R., if the page in which you see "SS-RuSHA" don't have any "Auflage" listed, you may have - like me - the first (ever) SS-Liederbuch edition

I must say that like for many music artists, the rare (CD/LP) issues may not be the first but the last - or even worse - the intermediate variants.

I found during the last 6 months 2 copies of the original (1st non listed) Auflage, and one of the 2nd and 3rd Auflage.

In my opinion, some intermediate and late variants are more uncommon (and are probably printed to less copies).

Anthony...simply wonderful liederbuch collection. I would love to know more about the unknown version with totenkopf on the cover. Is that artwork by the owner or applied by the printer. Really nice.
