    Hello Darren.

Is there any more background you can share for this collar tab?

    Regards,

Hi Chris , sorry there isn't , I mean't to put this thread on the e-stand , made another one of my error's , not enough sleep, all I know is it was purchased in a group of belongings including Bruhn's war badges and documents and the original buyer didn't collect insignia so disposed of it to Hannahs Reich from whom I purchased it , Kind regards D

Its absolutely original , it was purchased by a medal and citation collector in a group and the seller passed on the rank tab as he did not collect insignia , here is the original description

Offered here is the rank tab alone, originally from a large grouping formerly belonging Totenkopf Untstf.Erich Bruhns,
the group has since been split to document and award collectors one of which I recently acquired the tab, in the photos section can be seen the original grouping also his EK I, along with a photo of Bruhns as Untersturmfuhrer.
Tab is in excellent tunic removed condition, intrestingly on a card backing, which has then had a paper applied over before applying to the tunic, 3 alloy pips are applied to a black wool facing along with officer silver piping.

Thanks Darren, I'd like to get an outside opinion because this would be my first SS rank tab. Is there another forum member who can give me an opinion on this tab?
                Thank you,
                Eddie

                      original

This tab looks like a neat original likely tailor-made tab for a dress or walking out tunic..the tab is not of standard manufactor, and the shape is not "textbook" but it's certainly interesting and has charachter..

Hi Kyle, thanks for the reply, I'm assuming you are the medals collector who bought the lot and sold the tab along? Can I ask how you came across it? Sorry for being paranoid, it's just that this would be my first rank tab.
                          Thank you,
                          Eddie

                            Ss tk

                            No problem,
The original group was sold by Grenadier antiques in around 2007, I did look at it but bought the medals in 2009 along with the rank tab.
                            Cheers Kyle
