      Hello,

I would pick up the fez if it was $100.00 or less. There used to be tons of these fez's and no body really wanted them. Most were scarfed up and stripped for the insignia.

The insignia looks fine. I don't care for Fezzes myself.

The insignias was just an example.
I would not buy a fez without insignia. Eagle and TK are the same price as a complete fez.
I´m just searching for a fez, red or green, in europe to buy. But only with original sewn insignias.

Yes, the grey ones do have a certain appeal to them for sure.

As Im sure youve figured out from surfing the web, you will not be able to restore a fez for less than you can purchase an unstripped one...Funny, Ive never seen a stripped field grey fez but plenty of red ones. The fez was the last holdout for a reasonably priced piece of SS headgear. A good price guide is red (dress) $850-$1100 Green (combat) $1500 to $1900. With a little patience you can usually find a really nice one for a decent price. Hell I remember paying $200 for a nice worn red fez for $200.00(1994) & a really worn green fez for $$325.00(1996) Anyone collecting in mid 70s should recall you could find the red fez still in original tissue wrap for $50-$75 ! Saw a stack of 10 with tissue separating each one around 1978 for the amazing price of $375.00!!!!! Ahhh the good old days!
