Agreed, so these would have to be Gebirgsjager but given the long-stretched diamond tresse and the secondary texture to the piping I believe these to be fakes perhaps made from post war components..

Her`s mine geb.jag. for comparison. The one showed looks a bit grass green (lighter color).

Any opinions?

Ian, might be right, but do keep in mind, elongated diamond tress were used in the war. You need to confirm whether these fit with the period ones. Do a search there was a very good comparitive thread on these. J

Cocerning the boards- they are fake, piping, lining cotton cloth, other details are wrong to be original. Grass green piping color are seen on the period SS straps, but for Jager
