I'm seeing a green band...so most likely a Heer visor, not SS.

          LSSAH....

"I'm seeing a green band...so most likely a Heer visor, not SS!" - I think it's the 'filter' on his camera that gives you the impression you are seeing "green" & not "black" band. I had the same problem awhile ago using a new 'digital' camera I was still learning on, my black material I used as a background showed-up with quite a bit of green in it after the "flash" & even when I used bright lights around the item.

What I don't like is, the 'maker'! My 'dress cap' collection numbered 125 'dress' caps from all the 'armed' branches of the Third Reich at one time & not one was by this maker! I have a funny feeling the maker maybe one of the 'made-ups' from after the war.

Another point - The wool 'support' band sewn to the cap body with the sweatband sewn to it does not have the appearance of "black" doeskin....It looks more like a dark Feldgrau dye on a wool band of material.

The band really looks bottle green on my screen. And it doesn't appear to be the same cap as in the period photo. The price is rather strange too.
