            more pics of the skull...
Are these tropical insignia genuine? I personally see no red flags, but your confirmation is always helpful.
            Thanks a lot.

The camp tag is good as well. I got one of these in my first big veteran tinny haul many years ago. It is great to finally see a second one.

Excellent and rare tan cap insignia - I hope your inbox is empty!

                  Thank you for your comments
I have never seen that camp tag before and have no clue how and by whom it was used. I only heard there are tan (or gold) insignia variations, but really don´t know how rare they are. Don´t you know if these are currently listed on any dealer´s sites?

                  Thanks!

They are rare. The skull you posted looks like the type found on Dachau rolls, and while certainly tropical and original, may not be the more difficult to find skull that you actually find when originally sewn to SS tropical caps.

In other words, there was a skull that varied slightly and seems to have been issue with the tan eagles. Having said that, any tropical skull would be "correct".

                    regards, Robert

The headline on this small map says: "SS facility in stables for blowing to the rear neck of concentration camp Buchenwald. One dead each minute"
