        The picture is of a SS-Standartenjunker (pre Feb '44 as he doesn't have the two strips of tress at the base of each shoulderboard).
        He doesn't wear an officer chincord on his cap as the officer chincord was only allowed for SS-Standartenoberjunker and above.

                If I do not mix the names up, there is a small interrogation with him in the war diary of the Soviet 2nd Shock Army (together with some other "Nordland"-personal).
