    Textured Camo RODO

This is the first of this type that I have found. The belt and buckle set came from a large group and the set appears unissued. Nearly all of the items in the group were in great condition.

At first I thought that it was some type of corrosion but it is only on the face of the buckle. The top, bottom, and back do not have the rough texture. A clear line can be seen on the top and bottom where the application ended. There are also a couple small chips in the rough texture on the buckle's face.

Like I said, this is a first for me.

I don't think there is a need for camo on a buckle so it is interesting. Hope more information turns up on it!

A subdued finish to prevent glare...Can't comment on originality but Rodo is a well known maker for SS buckles...and the leather belt is fine IMO.
I would post it in the buckle forum for further (expert) opinions.
Maybe a moderator can move it over?

Thanks guys. I was hoping that someone in the SS section may have seen this type before but I guess it would probably be b better in the buckle section.

I don't really have any worries about originality. It's exactly as it came out of the vets trunk with a nice mix of items.

Interesting field modification. I would say it is real. It even started to pill off from the swastica.

Is it a complete parachute I see under there?

Thanks guys, it is a bit of an oddball buckle.

Sadly the harness is missing. There's more on the group in this thread...
