more exotic SS flags ???

I think at the that time the collector had paid around $27,000 for it.
I am sure ol' Heinie had more than one of these.
Wondering what that ~$27K 2nd pattern example looked like?
Noted on WAF t=680003 a 35K euro 2007 offered 1st pattern.
(below) As cited unsold 1st pattern 35K euro SS-RF Standard. Has "the
stamp of a Czech film costume department on the hem, but undoubtedly
a contemporay piece."

Back in the mid 80's Steve Wolfe offered one of Heni's vehicle command flags which looks to be the same size as the one Bob kindly put up for all to see.
The price at that time was 8,000.00.
Steve worked with someone to list it at Auction and it went for 12,000.00.
To see what perhaps may be the same size flag going for just over 20,000.00 is a suprise as the price seems to be too low.
Regarding rarity of these things, one has to keep in mind the Abschnitts and Uber Abschnitts had to keep himmlers command flag in each Abschnitt command headquarters, each had one JIC Heni showed up for sandwiches, beer and cards and what ever else delinquencies and mayhem he could pull on people.
What that means is Himmlers flags are more common than Abschnitt flags are because if these were not you'd not be seeing these as often as they are seen.
Someone care to show Abschnitt I through XVII?
Abschnitt XVII did reside in my collection and is now in Bob Colemans collection and with that XVII I'd never seen another.
And then how many others were there including both Uber and Abschnitt? If someone can show those in hand and not from era images one can begin to really appreciate how rare these flags really are, but Himmlers? Well......Attached Files

The flag that now hangs in Bob Colemans collection was purchased by me from Wittman seveal years ago.
Story was it was taken by one of Pattons tankers from the XVII headquarters as the ropes used to suspend the flag were removed by the troop cutting through the bunting on the side of the flag.
I've still seen more Himmler flags than abschnitt flags even with what was posted on this thread.
Regarding the upper abschnitt and the Himmler flags & if memory serves correct, the upper command abschnitts were mandated to have his flag and this was run up the pole just prior his arrival to show Herr heni was in and in charge.
I had an article that came from one of the collectors journals that was sent to me by John Peperra.
Again, if memory serves correct regarding this flag issue, several pages were written up about how the Allgeimeine SS flag system worked. Of course, memory could be incorrect as well as the article, because we all like to think what we read is correct but let's face it, some of the systems put in place are still a mystery without the explicit written and signed off on orders.
