    John Peppera ss collector

I just found out that John Peppera passed away . John was a big ss collector and i had the opportunity to learn a few things about ss items from the several chats i had with him at shows . He was also a member here at the WAF . Sad to see these guys with their wealth of knowledge pass on .

Indeed, our thoughts go to his family and those who grieve for him.

Had known John going back 25 years, and boy was he a collector that loved his German Militaria. Back in the day he used to have 4 phones set up in his house to take calls from the ads that he ran, and leads from other collectors on who was selling what.

I understand his entire collection is going back to the Fatherland, and Hermann's will be offering it.

One piece wont be going at this time. To my great benefit, Mr Peppera agreed to sell me one special item. I hold it in high esteem not only for what it is ,but also that it came from such a legendary collector. We discussed the item's meaning a little bit, but I did not really get to know him well as I would have preferred.
                  Rest in peace,
                  Sincerely, Michael

From what I understand that is correct. HH will be representing John's collection except for a few items that he had left special instructions on.
