13 Handschar division Waffen SS Patch - help needed

Good evening

I have a 13 Handschar division Waffen SS Patch, which I discovered about 6 years ago, whilst clearing out an old barrack block, when I was serving in the RAF.

I have never thought much about it, assuming it was a repro. I have recently had the urge to do some research. I know about the 13 Handschar via the net, but have no idea about the patch. Real or not.

A ww2 enthusiast I know via fb thinks it could be real but hes not sure as he has only seen the pics.

Whats your opinion? Now I have started to look into it, its bugging me. I think its a cool bit of kit as the 13th were a different unit to the rest.

A clear photo of the front may help but from these shots it's almost certainly a Delta tab which go back to the 70's.

Thanks for the info. At least i know now. looking into it has opened my eyes into what's out thete kit wise. just reading up on the 13 handschar was interesting
