Hi all, I purchased this band and thought I was onto a winner.

I have been on the forum for some time and owe many members a big thank you allready.....even more now it seems. Especially Paul who messaged me his reservations two days ago.

I emailed Craig this morning and asked for a refund.

    Disapointed but relieved......thank you.

    Simon

      Absolutely

Obviously this one didn't get checked out before the auction, perhaps Mr Delich was too busy.

I left it in the auction due to the first reviews saying it was original, plus it really has that "BeVo" feel to it (like fish scales). However, bidder is 100% entitled to a refund, of course. Out of curiosity, I will be sending this one off to Delich or someone for an in-hand evaluation, if necessary (I'm out of the office this week, but will investigate when I return).

there was another "bug" in the auction. Look at Insignias
's , first item: the cap eagle. It has SS-markings on the back. Not on originals!

I can't see the one in question here at work but Wagner eagles did have the runes on them, no skulls should have them though.

No problem, Ton. At the end, all information goes to helping keep the batting average high!

That cuff title is a 90s reproduction, and shouldn't fool any competent dealer, or collector, that being said Ive been fooled enough times.

Does that make you incompetent? I don't think so. It makes you human.

For the record the SS rune-marked eagle Ton refered to is a fine original Wagner.

                      With Craig's permission ? ...

So what are fakers capable of now?

One would have to assume that they are better today, but can't prove this. I still maintain textbook originals are not difficult to identify.

Agreed As simple as following the dots.

Given some of the bizarre 'variants' we are expected to accept as original recently and the re-embroidered plain RZM bands the standard, common-or-garden BeVo and flatwire cufftitles are a safe (if somewhat mundane) port in the storm.
