    SS Skull on ebay....

I saw this skull and in most of the other listings they say that it is from a relative who passed and served. I know it is a long run story but this one actually looks pretty good. No pins or silver finish but still a nice skull if you need a cheap 1 or a space filler. You know how ebay works though, it will go double in price or it will sell for nothing.... Just figure I would let people know it is there....

Here are the better of the pictures for when the link dies....

Looks on my phone to be a good and rare original. The problem is now it's made public it woll not be a bargain ..... IF it's the one you receive if you win the auction.

I keep getting hate mail in my PM for posting it here. Guessing those people had found it and were going to try and get it...

Yes its a sure way not to get popular It has been discussed a lot in the past with heated answers.... New codex is never to post links and never to say it is for sale at an online auction....

              Skull

I totally disagree. I think the forum should be a community of collectors sharing everything they know and hear related to the hobby.

This is a public board and not a private one amongst a few collectors. Posting links to a live auction should be penalized in my opinion. Not only is it bringing attention to the auction as such but it can also be advertisement by the seller himself, relative or friend.

A lot of collectors here hunt for items with better prices than found at dealer sites - and when they see their potential find is up in public - they get sour. Good itentions from you perhaps but spoiled fun for a lot of other members. Thats why its a unwritten rule not to do what you did...

                    Cheers

That's pretty funny - if you post a fake one you get congrats. If you post a real one you get hate mail. So much for the veracity of members posting philosophy like, "I'm not in it for the money, I'm in it for the history, blah, blah, blah"

Hate mail is pretty shallow lurking around ebay all day to buy treasures is more shallow.
