    original nice condition
    interesting number engraving

    what is this on the back at 12 o'clock?
    a hook or a groove?

      It's a reissue where they scrubbed the original number and applied a new one for another recipient which is correct

        must have been propably a 3 digit number when this is a dished end / concave removal

          Exactly what they did and may have been 4 digits and can't tell. But process is the same as seen on others as well.

                      its a hook, so convex?
                      I thought its a removed number that is concave to the surface?

                          This is a reissued 3 digit pin. There is no hook on the reverse.

                          This very pin used to be in my own collection.
