I hope that you do post your tunics on this forum for discussion, that is how we learn one way or another, and you have my respect for be willing to do so...Personally, I have informed both Gary and Seba, that I will no longer be posting on the forum and I want to apologize for trouble created recently. Sorry to see you go, Simon, and I hope you change your mind.
I completely understand your reticence to post on this forum any longer, however.
The trend of accusing sellers/collectors of wrong-doing and/or of having bad items without providing proof to back-up the accusations is poisoning this forum.
I think a LOT of people are not posting items any more because of the many self-appointed experts declaring everything to be fake with vague justfications and Goebbelseque insinuations.

Frankly I have been reallly pissed off for while now since John Donovans post. Simon i think your contribution has made this forum so much richer. your leaving is however understandable. If someone slaggged me off like this i would not tolerate it. its reallly rude and without any character to criticize and show no proof. it just creates bad rumours, doubt and ill feeling all around for eveyone. And after creating so much confusion and this mess, to say one will not post, this is the heigth of insufferability! I am not talking about you Simon. You have borne this well, with character and good breeding. You are not the one with a chip on your shoulder.I am sorry to see you go, you could really teach us a lot and of much value. While I understand your comments above do not throw the towel in, you have to remember that many scammers (and I am not saying you are one) have come here and basically tried to con the membership, so fellow forum members are somewhat sceptical when they see rare high end items, it is not personal its just the way things have gone in the last few years and especially of late.

While you are known to a few most members do not know you but that will change if you stick around, i must admit yours has though been a baptism of fire and if you can survive that you can survive anything,

Simon, You should reconsider your thoughts of leaving the forum. You seem to have a fantastic collection of rare items. There are members of this forum who have had fraudulent dealings with other members and they continue to post on this forum and others and are still being welcomed. Its strange that the buyers of your items seem to have no problem with them only the onlookers. You have done nothing wrong. Eric S

While I admit that I know next to nothing about SS items, I can say that it was an awesome treat to see your item. I am sorry that you had a rough start, but I as well as others appreciate your display. No one has been able to justify why they believe your items are other than 100%. We are all hear to learn and I have learned a lot from seeing what you posted...many of which I have never seen before other than 1x3" photos in a book. Thank you for sharing and I sincerely hope you continue!
