    Frundsberg Wrapper

A very rare example, in text book Betra Ra style, interestingly the liner is far finer than that of the Hohenstaufen, all pink piped, its the only one I have seen first hand, and I have never seen a black Frundsberg wrapper anywhere, I remember an officers Stug being sold in the US by Bob Hritz about 3 years ago but this is the only other wrap I have ever seen.

Simon, once again a nice wrapper. And the liner is the same type as the one mentioned before.
                      Thank you

How can it be that the eagle shows lotsof wear and the cuff tittle is in mind condition

                          Cufftitle and eagle

If you see it first hand the cufftitle and eagle exhibit about the same amount of wear its actually not mint, this tunic is generally quite worn. Possibly the guy scraped into something on his arm.

But simon as you stated you got the tunic and you inspected it with your own eyes, and hands

                              Hey John,

I don't wont to be the great defender of things that are "curious" to you or to others. But we need to remember that most of the EM's of Hohenstaufen and Frundsberg were taken out of the RAD "reservoir". NCO's and Officers came often from other ss units or even the police. That means it is possible that the wrapper (with eagle) was worn for some time in field in another unit before the cufftitle was sewn to the wrapper. Furthermore we know that much worn insignia has been reissued. Again that doesn't automaticly mean that the item is fully war time but it could and so we need to look at these facts too.

I know too little on panzer items but these are facts that must be put in discusion too.

                              Cheers

                              Fritz
