    skull rings

I have an opportuniity to pick up a couple of skull rings I tried to take close up pictues but ended up with a blur. I did take some pictures of the case it was in showing the rings though.
Ring one is just a skull ring with only a silver mark in it. The band is broken in the back. It is worn.

Ring two, has snakes with the skull. Inside the band is not engraved but looks to be stamped(one letter at a time) BEMERPARTISAN. Behind the skull is stamped 1944 only going from top to bottom. I figure you won't be able to tell originality from the pics, but if real what would the pair be worth.

            Ring ....

I would never touch rings as these have been done to death, unless it was the wedding ring and came with a rock solid background. David

Hi Chuck, I have a ring in my collection, with provenance, very similar, if not the same as the first one you show. This one I feel has a good chance of being OK. The second one I am not so keen on. David does make a good point about these type of rings. Having had a quick look at the others items in the photos, most of it appears good, although they are common low end items. See if you can get a better pic of ring 1.

              Cheers, Ade.

Yes these have been done to death just like all of SS cloth, medals & badges, visors etc. You just have to know what to look for..
Ade I too have the same ring. Also with a good provenance. Mine only has a 900 content stamp in the band. Even though it is in very worn condition you can still see originally it had great detail in the teeth, snakes and bones.. Better photos might help, sometimes a in hand inspection is the only way to tell if good , G.

                  Hi,

Does anyone have any good pictures of one of these original Anti-Partisan rings?
I would really like to see some good close-ups of an original.

                  Thanks! Chris
