recently posted some boards for ID in the heer forum and one was suggested as being waffen ss.

can anybody help confirm this and if it is genuine or not.

I know absolutely nothing about these type of shoulder boards ......
But this looks awfully like a fake type re enactment quality to me.
I hope I am wrong .....

have no idea myself David so thought it best to get some opinions on the ss forum.

Hi, I think that you need to post close ups of the waffenfarbe and of the sewing detail on the attachment strap for some one to give you a considered opinion.

Close up of piping and side view to see how thick it is. Looks not so promising so far. Perhaps better photos will do it.
