Researching my TK ring and need help

I have Boyle CoA TK ring awarded to Herrmann with Band date 12. 6. 44.. I need help as I do not have a DAS yet. The only 2 with this spelling are Guther Herrmann and Karl Robert Herrmann . The other Herrmanns found do not spell the name correctly and spell Herman or Hermann. Also which DAS would be the best to order and how do you buy it? Would appreciate any that can help me and certainly look in their Das for the Herrmann name with award 1944.

    Thanks,
    docf

The 1938 SS-DAL lists 18 officers with the family name spelt, Herrmann.

Of these 18 officers, 12 had the ring including Karl Herrmann.

So, 6 officers not listed as ring holders in 1938 to include Gunther Herrmann.

The name, Gunther Herrmann, does not appear in the 1944 (senior ranks only) DAL I have.

Three Hermmann's are listed in my 1944 DAL:- Karl; Dr. Arno; Fritz.

Of these three officers Dr Arno is listed as a ring holder in the 1944 DAL, also Karl and Fritz who were previously listed as such in 1938.

You will need to track the 5 Herrmanns (other than Gunther) who were not listed as ring holders in 1938 (Albrecht; Alexander; Alfred; Emil; Willy) and you will need to find the date of Dr Arno's ring award.

Facsimile copies of the DAL have been available, try ebay and amazon. The cost of originals is prohibitive.

Sorry I could not help more.

Thanks Barry. Do you know if all recipients of the TK rings who were doctors had the dr. before their last name as noted Craigs book? Next quest is to buy a 44 Dal or do I need 39 to 44? I guess Karl would be out as a reissue as the date of my ring is 21.6.44. It's unforunate that the banded date is not usually the issue date. I don't know if it is true that a reissue can be the initial award date or new date??? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks again docf

Need a little more help with my TKR. Need to know if the 1938 Dal. which notes a Karl Herrmann is Herrmann with SS # 357 135 or Herrmann SS #310 466. My Dals. are 41,42,43,and finally 44. Thanks for the help.
