My private view the the unmarked examples are Junkerschule awarded Degen. This is based from direct veteran acquired Degen with history on them. My Hartmann group Degen is also unmarked and JST awarded.

I've got SS Gruppenfuhrer Dr Friedrich Weber's ehrendegen - which was awared to him in late 1935 and is unmarked. Your private view could still be correct, however not in the case of Weber's ehrendegen.
