They are very expensive indeed. I want to complete an Allgemeine SS visor cap i have but i am very hesitant when looking at the asking prices.

I think if you get one with repaired prong it will cost you only half of what they sell for + once skull is in place you will never see that there is repair.

Of course i agree with you. I have this in mind in order to pay less. I was also considering relic examples but they wouldn't match the condition of the cap.

Very nice one but IMO they don't sell for that kind of amounts anymore.
I've seen a couple lately on the web for around 500\600 bucks.
I used to collect just 52's, and I've noticed a drop in prices during the last 12 months.

Well, to be honest I would consider that one a well used one with 60\70% finish, but it's just me.
