Hi fellas:
I have an SS Officer’s ‘Schiffchen’ (side cap) with a red-printed maker stamp inside. The lettering is very worn/faded, that’s where you come in!!
The stamp is comprised of a thin-lined horizontal rectangle. Inside the rectangle are 5 lines of printing. The date (the fifth line) is ‘1942’ and is placed in a separate section of the rectangle. The following is a representation of the lettering that I can see, something like:_________________________
ROLF RAUCH
HUTTENFABRIK
.........????.......IDE 3
...??....EM
__________________________
1942
If you can help me fill in the blanks, and give me any specific information
about this maker/date, I’d sure appreciate it.
