    WSS Overseas cap from Yugoslavia?

Did anyone else see this cap?

    http://vicmart.com/ext/en/exrw/item=...ull-Cap-R.html

I was just surfing along and found it. I've never heard of www.vicmart.com before...

The seller says the cap comes from the "AVALA film" company. I did a bit of research and they were the co-production company on the film Kelly's Heroes...

I agree, the insignias are repro at least the skull. I use to have a SS fieldcap that had exactly the same skull insignia.

That's right Jerry, rub it in a bit more why don't you!!

Actualy, compared to some of the stuff I've seen on this very board, I didn't think they were that bad...

What about this cap then, I'm 100% sure this one is spot on..

Right, are we paying attention class!...(has anyone guessed that I'm really bored at work today?)...just for the hell of it, I put the skull from the first cap I posted up against 2 other known repros and 3 originals.

Now, apart from the weave of that first skull being all wrong, can you really say it's worse than the other two? In so far as shape of the head and details like the teeth I mean...

Ben, you right in some instances repros and originals can be very close, many collectors have been burned by some very good copies. It was until forums like owrs that put things in order and now we can define good from bad. Studing the details is what makes the difference ...OK,ok I'm up Mr. teacher...I promise I'll not do it again
