Not questioning the dokument but a commander who signed a "Verwundetenabzeichen" document? All docs I have seen were signed by a doctor.

A superb award document signed by Otto Baum!

In my collection I have a wound badge doc signed by Obergruppenfuehrer Sepp Dietrich to Obersturmbannfuehrer Theodor Wisch dd. Nov. 6, 1941.

It's pictured in my book on 'Teddy' Wisch on page 48.

                            Cheers,
                            Markus
