I cannot tell about the trap. but I don't like the cap at all. Just my HO

Cap is for sure fake, the construction and materials used are totally wrong
I'm not 100% sure about the trap, could be original but this style of cap trap is often seen on fake caps so I'm not confident of being a wartime piece...

I had one of these caps, and while the trapezoids are very convincing, the rest of the cap is not.

The HBT liner material is one of the most obvious problems. It is distinctive, and completely different than any wartime material, captured stocks and otherwise.

Sorry, but better pass on this one.
