Meet the Waffen SS-untersturmfuhrer twins in combat field uniforms!
Shown before in seperate threads, now together in 1 viewing!
Both are true SS combat grade tunics and both are restored with proper insignia for junior combat officers who were promoted through the ranks,
modifying their NCO uniforms. Shades of NCO tresse visible on both tunics...hence the "twins" title!
So both were restored with modified other rank (NCO) tabs for (field) promotion junior officers, creating similar impressions of 2 front line
Unterfuhrers in Waffen SS service!
The "Estland" Artillery Technical officer tunic (with WH shoulderboards, which was common) is a pretty much an unmodified M36
but has an officer dagger slit modification. (see picture in post 11)
It has been restored with salty insignia matching the tunics condition.
The "Nederland" Pz Abwehr uniform is a well modified M40 with added wide
M36 green collar and all pockets have the bellows removed (flat) as seen on officer tunics for a smarter/neater appearance.
It has been restored with much better quality insignia to match the condition of the uniform.
