This one was on another TK tunic and had different qualities in the bullion than the others.

And I assume that nobody here is hating Jews or collection Nazi Regalia out of respect for the political views. If so, it would be very naive and I would urge those to read their history.
One of the biggest Uk dealers in this stuff is Jewish, work it out everyone, today it is just business. The chaps that buy it as wannabe facists are welcome to their opinion in a free, democratic society, as long as Tony Bliar doesn't try to ban collecting 3rd Reich war booty.

The rumor behind these tunics is that they were made for a dealer in France HSC collections there is something to that since someone from the company once offered me two pristine SS officer tunics with the exact same type eagles and insignias on them.[/QUOTE]

HsC? Impossible! They wouldn't do that...Buy 2 and we'll offer you the third one....

                      Well, for what it's worth....

1st. I like that everybody is able to air his or her opinion here on this forum.

2nd. I like that things can be discused, no opinion is ultimate and it doesn't matter whose opinion it is. I have learned from "Maikäfer" as well as from John about the TK units.... I think that the truth lies in between....as it often does. The 3rd SS divison doesn't necessarly mean "KZ" and (Waffen-) SS (-VT)/Wehrmacht/Polizei doesn't necessarely mean "no KZ/warcrime-connection". As well as the majority of US marines are brave fighters and not torturing any civilians in riaq or elsewhere. What I mean is that you will find bad people here and there....but you will also find good people all over the world....may they be former TK members, US americans, british, german, russian or whatever.

3rd. As for the tunic...For me it is hard to imagine that a TK tunic was sold prior to october 3rd 1990 in east germany (Weimar/Thüringen). Still I will not "come down" on the tunic as I don't consider myself knowledgeable enough. I really hope that it is a "good" piece.

                      Cheers

                      Fritz

Not a fruitless effort Jerry, you would be surprised at how much people learn from threads like these.

I happen to agree, still, that these are bogus eagles for the very reasons you list. What is needed is a tunic from a collection with provence dating back before the 80s to begin to change my mind.

The other style eagle posted by Felix are also marked with Sieder tags and found on numerous..Ive counted well over 50 SS officer tunics with them that surfaced only in recent years.

I know well why knowledgeable collectors and celebrated experts dont give any input..but that doesnt keep it from frustrating me. They take every opportunity to pad a reputation at times at the expense of the unknowns and the small time collectors.Yet when large collections, dealer reps, friendly trade circles are involved they stay in the alcoves watching.Honesty above all else is more important to me, but Im just some naive schmuck...no wait as Dave Kane calls me, " a poser".
