I'm seeking opinions on this photoalbum from the early SS troops at Dachau. The cover of the album shows traces of an eagle and skull which were once affixed to the cover.
60 photos + 3 postcards. This man served in the SS-Wachsturmbann 1 "Oberbayern", in 1937 renamed SS-Totenkopfstandarte 1 "Oberbayern".
These were the guards of the concentration camp until 1940. He took part at the Reichsparteitag 1937, you see a lot of leaders on the photos like Hitler, Himmler, Hess, Theodor Eicke - the chief of the concentration camps etc.
The later SS-Oberführer Georg Bochmann is clearly to recognize on one photo in the rank of SS-Untersturmführer.
The album contains also some very rare postcards, one is the songtext of the SS song " Meine Ehre heißt Treue" - My Honor is Truth. This card was printed by a publisher from Dachau - Photo Sessner, still in business in Dachau today.
Another postcard shows the signpost to the concentration camp and is also to see on a private photo. The album has 37 pages, on some of them there is only one photo.
