need opinions on leather coat

Military in cut, but brown??? Post war dyed???

yes coat appears dark brown is that evidence of being post war dyed or could this be correct ??

I have seen lots of coat in very different shade of colors, dark gray, blue gray, and also brownish color... I think that we couldn't say that is post war for that evidence. All the rest of feature appear to be right for a wartime coat: construction, sewn, removable buttons, shoulder rivets hole for boards and so on. The only thing that seems to me was happened to this stuff, is that it's shortened in one moment of its life..
Only a question: how the frontal buttons are thight? Seems to see a sort of 'rope'..

do all original coats have dagger hangers

Hallo!

I think that the way the buttons are thighs doesn't correct. That kind of buttons have to be secured to the coat between the classical metal 'S' used also for the tropical garment.
Also, your coat may not necessarily be associated with ss, but also the the whole wehrmacht..
