I like the back more than the front.

thats the way it goes, take the backing from an orig LW or NSKK tab etc ...
or put an original tag on the back ...

It could be fine. There's considerable disagreement on this forum on bullion skull tabs as to what's original and what's not. I know that doesn't help much in making a decision to purchase, but look through the examples posted to get a feel for the variations.

If the bullion, wool, backing, and unterlagen are all there, and the workmanship is comparable with wartime embroidery, you may have a winner.

            regards, Robert

There are people on here who stand up for fakes quite deliberately, I will just state my opinion which is based on help from VERY experienced people.

The front of that tab is a fake, that is all I can and all I will say.

for the "normal" market where you spend some or one k or k's for a vertical or horizontal bullion collar tab I would not play around with my money.
when it comes out from a vet drawer and I spend $100 then I would be also pleased with it. I can say I go with that I know for certain and can sell it with out any doubts again whenever I want.

Ian, since you quoted me I assume this is in reference to my comment. I will just say that I have seen many original bullion items condemned as fakes on this forum, and at the hands of "VERY experienced people".

Better do you own research on this one, Zozole. As Robert H stated, if it has good provenance and is not going to cost you an arm and a leg, it may be worth it.

                      regards, Robert

And I have seen many fake bullion items deliberately passed as 'original' and that isn't and indeed wasn't a shot at you Robert.

I would say the market for TK tabs is pretty much with a stake in it dead.

No one in their right mind would purchase any of these except those with iron clad provenance.
