2 weeks ago I won the "Klingelhöfer-lot" that was sold by the family through a small local auction house:
http://www.neumanns-auktionen.de/auk...ikel/4676.html
Oskar Klingelhöfer was a former infanterie officer of the "Totenkopfdivision" who was transfered to SS Panzerregiment 1 in oktober 1944. He led the 7. companie of SS Panzerregiment 1 (Kampfgruppe Peiper) that became infamous by the "malmedy case".
I show that convolut because I want to obtain as much as possible informations about him.
I already know:
Klingelhöfer, Oskar
Born: 15.08.1917 in Gießen
SS-Nr.: 274 844
SS-Hstuf.: 20.04.1944
12./T.I.R.1: 02.1942
SS-Pz.Gren.Ausb.u.Ers.Btl.3: 04.1944, Führer 1. Kp
Chef,7./Pz.Rgt.1: 10.1944
The major item of that convolut is his (stripped) tunic - already with panzer insignia:
