Hitlerjugend Cufftitle group

The Hitlerjugend cufftitle never existed in standard bevo form , this is the only version of the bevo type band that was made wartime.
The same manufacture type also exist for Norge , Danmark.

Hard to believe that any regulars on this forum didn'r know that. The 'Bevo-like' style is the only WWII vintage version of 'Hitlerjugend' that is generally accepted as 'original'. There is a discussion regarding the reasons why this band was never mass-produced in the standard BEVO style, in the new Beaver insignia book. It might be because the HJ band was not standard issue to every member of that division. It was awarded to combat veterans and even came with an Urkunde, an example of which has been posted here, a long time ago. Thus, a smaller contractor was able to produce an adequate supply of Bevo-like bands for the 12th SS Pz Div. and this also explains the relative rarity of cuffbands from this division.
Wonderful worn and tunic-removed specimen in the original post. Most Hitlerjugend bands you see are in unworn condition. I waited many years to get a tunic-removed and worn specimen for my collection. The black
wound badge sure looks pristine, compared to the EKII...makes you wonder if all those items were stored in the same place, for the past 68 years.

Great find and congratulations!

There's still a lot of neat items with veterans and/or their families out there.

You should definitely try to obtain a photo of the soldier in question to make the set complete.

I myself am working on getting one of the leather jackets worn by LAH/HJ personnel in Normandy, Ardennes and Süd-Ost, along with the respective paperwork, but there's still some resistance...

The best stuff is always the material sourced from the vets or their families IMO. That's when you have closer contact to the real history and can build a personal connection/relationship to the item(s)!
