SS sleeve eagle-- fake?

Hello fellas I've had this for about 12 years, just curious if its a repro or possible original? Me and my dad brought it back when we were in Belgium in 2001.

Although you will possibly be told otherwise (most of this foreign made insignia is panned) I believe it to be an original French made sleeve eagle. First I've seen on this colour of backing- they're usually found on black or green...

Thanks for the replys!! We were in la gleize looking at the tiger 2 when an old couple drove up to the museum. They were aprox. 70 or so. They were bringing in some items to sell to the museum, and asked if we were interested. Had a vehicle id flag, pretty rough, and his eagle they said was off of a rotting uniform left in their barn for years, eagle, collar tabs. They sold the tabs, so they had the eagle and flag, so we bought them. Just started getting things out now to display. You never know on stories?? Thanks for the replys on it!!
