    Michael,

As you can read within this thread I have been advised to discuss cultural items from now on within the political section of this forum.

So if you for example want to talk about the Julleuchter, Allach porcelain, SS Jul chests from DHW, DHW tapestries and furniture, anything related to the Reichsnährstand, Sippenleuchter and other SS cultural items and pieces of art - you will have to move over to the political section.

Because this is the SS forum and the mentioned things produced by and for the SS seem to have nothing to do with the SS.

this is about one item and the description given to lend believability to it. but I accept your tacit admittance that you can not defend your sales description.

[QUOTE=Chris Pittman;5777376] "...Thorsten has stated that the item represents a specific rune that period documentation proves had a role in SS weddings..." end of quote]

-No, Seller Thorston Beine implies his item (candle stick holder) in his Sales thread is what is described in an important SS book.
This is what my thread is about.
Seller Thorston Beine's description of his item is either:
written to poorly to show he is merely giving a history lesson citing the SS magazine) that is not applicable to item,
Or Seller Thorston Beine crafted his wording vaguely to fool .
Either way, it needs to be addressed.
Implying SS or TR era to the item =$.
Lets keep it as honest as possible for this item

          Michael,

Member Capt. R. presented an EXACTLY IDENTICAL piece within the cultural thread on the 8th of March 2012 with this description:

          "wedding stuff

my contribution since we are showing our candles. This one I think to be a wedding leuchter since it resembles the ing rune which is 2 life runes joined."

The second comment after his - just a few hours later - was from You.

And you had NOTHING to criticize neither about his shared piece, his presented arrangement visible on his shared picture nor about his stated description in regards to his EXACTLY IDENTICAL piece.

Can you explain that one to me - and to anybody else here?

not exactly the same even my bad eyes can see its different wood. this doesn't prove anything but i would wager yours has never been used (modern maybe) also the other one seems to have lines cut on the sides at the top. yours also looks to be varnished the other not

                Seller Thorston Beine ,
I see you are still trying to change the subject.
You already gave up trying to defend your sales thread against the facts.
Unlike you,This member (you single out) did not claim his things were described in the SS magazine "Die Feier", nor was he trying to sell it as such.So there is nothing for me to have said.

Nor do I have to monitor every post by every member on WAF forever (and comment on all items ever posted ) before I am allowed to point out that this sales thread of yours is giving false descriptions about an item you are selling.

Your throwing of everything and the kitchen sink into this thread will not change the fact that you are unable to defend against my evidence provided against your false description.

Whether you like it or not - there is nothing wrong with my description.

Actually there is a problem with your description:
Time to wonder why Seller thorston Beine can not answer a moderator's questions

                        Michael,

                        You opened this thread.

And you claimed that my description would be misleading.

And yet you miserably failed to present ANY evidence for your claim.

                            This is my description:
                            -------------------------
                            “Dear cultural collectors,

Here I offer an outstanding period wedding candleholder out of my collection for sale.
The piece itself represents - masterly carved - the Ingrune, due to the SS-booklet "Die Feier" (First issue, page 36; published via the SS-Hauptamt by RF-SS Heinrich Himmler) one of the three officially specified germanic runes representing the wedding ceremony and the tightness of love between the couple, between man and woman.

The octagonal shape of it´s ends reminds strongly of the SS Allach logo and is - among other elements - typical for period composition.

The piece itself is in great original and completely untouched condition - the wood bears a lovely patina which adds to the character and beautiness of this delightful cultural item.

Length is 28,5 cm - height is 14 cm.

Price including trackable DHL shipping is 155 Euros.

Payment via Paypal or IBAN bank transfer. “
                            ----------------------------------------------------------------

And there is NOTHING misleading in there.

                            Period.

                              Here you go:

First pic octagonal end of the piece.

Second pic octagonal SS Allach logo.
