    Officers M44 Italian gabardine tunic

    Hello everyone,
I would like to hear your opinions about this M44 Italian gabardine tunic
In my opinion this could be an officers privat/tailer made tunic, but I have never seen an M44 tunic like this
It seems that it never had insignia on it, so if real, I can not say if Wehrmacht or SS..
The tunic has no split cuffs!?
What do you think about it?, thank you in advance!
    regards, Kevin

I think it's a tailer made officer piece, I finally bought this tunic because I want to hold it in hands I can not see any signs of a breast eagle as well as of an sleeve eagle on the given pictures, but it shows some left threads on the under collar, so there were tabs

Insignia traces can be very hard to see on this kind of fabric sometimes it will not be visible at all.

Only if it was uniformly faded after the insignias were removed...I have owned one that bore shadows of removed insignias...this one looks like it was never used or newly made.

Tunics that were not worn much and have not faded etc. also will not show any evidence of insignia. If it was stripped and worn after the war there would not be fading from the insignia. The eagle and tabs might have been on there for only 9 months (or never applied) and then removed, we would not see any outline now. This why this is a easier material for people to often convert gabardine Army tailor made tunics to SS.

you only can get sure when you absolutely know where this piece came out.
You will find dozen of tailors who's job this one can be, especially from Germany.
