Guys,
thank you, am I correct in thinking due to its larger size would this be a Greatcoat armband ?
and the label, is 156 the size and 37 the year of manufacture (ie 1937) ?

Nope, the 156 is the Hersteller (Manufacturer) number ... so if the same people made another in 1935 it would be 156/35 (and they did ).

It does sound like it's for a greatcoat though.
