    Brooch from Cultural Thread

    hope its okay to start a Thread about a Brooch we tried to discuss in the cultural thread... Member jabnus (Gaston) asked me if I can post a image from the Book were a similar Brooch is pictured in and it states in the book that the brooch origins from scandinavia..

      Dear Andreas,


      Many thanks for this picture. This topic about this little brooch shows what the WAF community can really do when it comes to combining forces of knowledge, instead of making false claims for money. This may in the end not be the most spectacular SS item but we have all learned a bit more here and when brooches collectors will run into a similar item in the future this is very helpfull.

      For completeness sake i'll add to this topic the original ancient design i think this brooch is based on.
