And how are we supposed to know it is from your collection?

There are materials in the manufacture that I believe are post war,the Betra stamps are fake etc.

But if any potential buyers believe it to be original then that is okay with me..I really could care less.

fake tunic, bad and wrong font stampings, mix of different condition and color wool, wrong cut of the pocket flaps. Bad collar tabs

Luca, I think most collectors automatically swing towards "restored" whenever they see a nice NCO tunic. This seems to be the knee-jerk reaction for such a rare tunic.

Having said that, I believe the rune tab is a reproduction, and the only time I've seen that font in the size and SS-BW markings are on reproductions. I hope I am wrong, but those two aspects are troubling for me.

            regards, Robert

espenlaub, I remind you to the construstion of this tunic (see the pocket flaps) even if made by different maker.

About the stamping I am waiting to know what is wrong.

Luca, the font of the SS-BW is larger than the size markings, in most cases. It was a separate stamping for the camp system, as you know, not the manufacturers uniform sizing.

The smaller letters in the font I've seen on many replicas, but not on an original. The material it's on would almost lead to believe someone removed the original inside panel on an original tunic, and added this strip on both sides and then restamped it.

Here's the SS-BW stamp like I'm used to seeing it; ditto on the size markings.

                regards, Robert

Robert, you are saying the faker used two diffenent near mint original tunics to make this uniform adding a fake stamp ? I remind you to many original Betr(.) Ra. stamps showed on this forum before say is a fake stamp and not to the SS-Bekleidungswerke stamps posted.

No Luca, I'm saying that the font of the letters and numbers does not look like the typical stamps in a tunic. I don't know where the material may have come from, but any linen would have done.

I don't mind being wrong - I hope I am. But dig through the posted examples and any in your collection and see if you can find this exact font and markings in a tunic.

I'd be very happy to be wrong.

                    regards, Robert

I have a number of SS uniform items in my collection marked with the Ravensbruck markings Luca, just none like this. See what you can find.

                        regards, Robert

                          Hi Luca,

You know I respect your collection and wouldn't mind having a lot of your items myself, but this time I have to subscribe to those thinking this tunic is bad. The marking for me is the Red Flag that set me off at first looks, not being supported by the overal 'one-looker vibe' of the rest of the tunic.
                          Sorry, hope I'm wrong.

At least Betr.Ra tunics must have another type of pockets, and not a drillich cloth underlined collar

The material on the side pannels is looks fat and wrong to be used on the tunic's manufacture
