    Whats this?

    Im a very novice novice but i would take a guess and say that this guy is SS but attached to a WH training school/course/ regiment or somthing?

      I'd say the picture's of an Ordnungspolizei man who's transferred into the SS-Polizei Division. They retained the Polizei tabs for a while.

        I concur with Ian....The early SS 4th "Polizei Division" used the Army tunic with collar tabs and SS eagle during the beginning the war...Later they changed to the sigrune tabs and helmet decal...

            Here are some more early SS-Polizei Division shots.

            You can just see the tip of the wing of the SS sleeve eagle. This is a spare ID photo found in a Soldbuch.

                  some more pictures, before full change over to full ss insignia the police division wore police and army type collar insignia with army type shoulder straps, both in dark green backing and field grey backing,
