A friiend of mine just give me a "Rucksack " ( came from normandie ) well marked :

( two circles around it )VA - 401/38 - SS ( two circles around it )

Do you know what does it mean ?

maker/year, but take care with this marking. You will find also on germandaggers.com a thread about this marking 401/38.

Thanks for answer, Robert . It's an early model of backpack, and my friend is absoluty sure it's a genuine one ( find by his father a long time ago ).
