I would sincerely appreciate any information and opinions on this high quality embroidered silver bullion eidelweiss patch. The patch measures about 2" high. Is it SS or Nazi-era? Thanks.

It's not SS and I'm sure it's not Third Reich either. Looks very much modern made. Perhaps Pakistani effort.

I believe there were bullion edelveises(but are tough to find), but were of the round shoulder worn type, and not this configuration(looks like made for a soft cap or hat). So I agree.(with the other two esteemed colleagues.) This is anybodys guess as to its true origin. If you check the sites in India that make bullion insignias, you may find it there.Comment

I see these often for sale on German Ebay. About E 25 they ask. I bought one some years ago in a group with insignias that I have somewhere.
Allways wondered what it was and if real.
Maybe others will provide better info?

I can't tell you what organization or when it was made but I have had this one for 30+ years. So I would says it's not a current fake. This was in my junk box so it would be nice to know if it is a period item.
